Y2k football
On Saturday, (as part of our weekend) Eddy was taking part in a charity football tournament to raise money for Youth 2000. We were up early to meet some friends and head over to the tournament in East London.
It was a beautifully hot day and we had an ongoing picnic as twelve teams of five battled it out on the pitch for the winners trophy! Although Eddy's team sadly didn't win, they did really well and it was a lot of fun for us to watch the excitement on the pitch.
My brother was also playing in Eddy's team so it was nice to have a lot of familiar faces supporting each other in such good spirits.
I think it's lovely that the boys in our friendship circle take such a great interest in partaking in these types of events. They endlessly support the work of Youth 2000 in many ways and even though hamstrings were pulled and friction burns were sustained, the only obvious mood on our team was honest enjoyment!
Noah certainly enjoyed waving Daddy on and clapping with the crowd. It just makes me wonder at the years ahead when he and Eddy will be chasing each other around on the rugby pitch!
