White chocolate cookies

This afternoon Noah and I were in the mood for doing some baking and in the end we decided to make some white chocolate chip cookies. I found a recipe online which I made a few tweaks to and I must say the outcome was near cookie perfection. Crispy on the outside and gooey and warm on the inside- mmm!

To make these cookies you will need:

125g Butter,
100g light brown soft sugar
2tbsp golden syrup
1 egg, lightly beaten
1tsp vanilla essence
225g self-raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
200g white chocolate chopped into small pieces (I used Green and Blacks white cooking chocolate)

Method:
  1. 1) Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4

  2. 2) Cream the butter, sugar and golden syrup. Once creamed, combine  the egg and vanilla essence.

  3. 3) Sift in the flour and salt, then add the white chocolate and mix.

  4. 4) Roll into walnut size balls and place on baking tray leaving plenty of space between each ball as they will melt down into a round cookie.

  5. 5) Bake for about 7-10 mins or until golden!

Yum! These are a seriously delicious friday afternoon treat and it's such a simple recipe to try with any little helpers you might have!

Enjoy!
