White chocolate cookies
This afternoon Noah and I were in the mood for doing some baking and in the end we decided to make some white chocolate chip cookies. I found a recipe online which I made a few tweaks to and I must say the outcome was near cookie perfection. Crispy on the outside and gooey and warm on the inside- mmm!
To make these cookies you will need:
125g Butter,
100g light brown soft sugar
2tbsp golden syrup
1 egg, lightly beaten
1tsp vanilla essence
225g self-raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
200g white chocolate chopped into small pieces (I used Green and Blacks white cooking chocolate)
Method:
- 1) Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4
- 2) Cream the butter, sugar and golden syrup. Once creamed, combine the egg and vanilla essence.
- 3) Sift in the flour and salt, then add the white chocolate and mix.
- 4) Roll into walnut size balls and place on baking tray leaving plenty of space between each ball as they will melt down into a round cookie.
- 5) Bake for about 7-10 mins or until golden!
Yum! These are a seriously delicious friday afternoon treat and it's such a simple recipe to try with any little helpers you might have!
Enjoy!
