A perfect little hideaway

We've come to our last full day here at Butlins and I wanted to share a little about our 'hideaway'- the accommodation we've been staying in and why I think it is just so perfect for small families like ours!
Butlins kindly booked us into review their new style 'seaside apartments' which are designed to appeal to young families both in their close proximity to the main pavilion and in their vibrant and fun decor inside.

Everything about this little space has been really easy and convenient for us to manage our time here. We've been staying in a three bedroom apartment which offers two twin rooms and a double- so plenty of space to spread out and lots of handy storage for our seemingly endless collection of luggage we manage to bring with us whenever we go anywhere!

I have to say, as a parent I was particularly impressed with the thought that clearly went into making the surroundings comfortable for the kids. We knew we were going to have a pretty jam-packed week of activities and I was a little worried about how the kids would cope with possibly being overtired and not sleeping as a result. But actually, it's been quite easy considering we are located two minutes away from all the various park locations making it so easy to pop back for naps as and when the kids have needed time out during the day.
Also, their bedrooms are so thoughtfully designed with blackout blinds and these beautiful cloud nightlights that provide such a calming and gentle glow in the evenings. Our boys have loved going to sleep under their little clouds and they've actually seemed to settle really well considering this is a new environment.

The open-plan design of the living space has been really enjoyable as it has allowed us to all relax in the same space and most importantly to keep a watchful eye on the boys as we are preparing meals or just pottering about. We have a lovely balcony attached to the end of our lounge which has been a gorgeous spot to sit out for meals. The weather has been really hot and humid this week so having a little private and safe outdoor space for the boys to potter around in has been so welcome!

I've really enjoyed having the option of popping back for a little siesta when the boys have begun to tire in the afternoons and to be greeted by such a vibrant and cheerful space is actually more comforting than I ever imagined it would be. This place definitely has a real holiday feel with all the bright, clashing colours. It feels lighthearted and just there to be enjoyed- isn't that what everybody wants from their holiday accommodation?

It's a bit of a shame we have to come away from here tomorrow considering we've settled into this beautiful little apartment so well! But I think that's the nicest way to leave a holiday, wishing for one more day!

Love,
