Fish & chips in the sunset

We took a walk around our little village in Norfolk the other evening in a bid to seek out a suitable eatery and a part bid to tire the kids out enough to fall asleep soon after!
The sun had just lowered to that point in the sky where golden light fell everywhere, casting long shadows along the buildings and trees. It was really beautiful and the dazzling light coupled with the gorgeously warm evening gave us only one option for our dining: alfresco!

I kept thinking along our little walk, as we passed by crooked little houses painted in bright colours with the most enticing front gardens in full bloom, how easily we might have been in France, or perhaps some other continental hideaway. It really was breathtaking and all this tucked away in jolly Norfolk?!
We had the happiest little fish & chip supper tucking into some delicious local produce with the sun beaming into our faces! What more could you want for a typically British 'staycation?'

I hope you're having a beautiful summer so far. Any last minute getaways planned?

Love,
