Podcasting
The Key To Creating Quick Content in 2024.
Introduction
In the dynamic landscape of content creation, even with a limited budget, businesses can leverage podcasts to showcase their expertise and engage with their audience. This case study explores the journey of filming a podcast for David Armour Accounting, delving into the challenges faced, creative solutions employed, and the subsequent strategies for content distribution and audience engagement.
Project Overview
Objective: David Armour Accounting sought to venture into podcasting and social media without a hefty financial investment. The primary goal was to record a video podcast
discussing the recent budget announcement in the UK. Collaborating with Tower Wealth Management and SKALD, the team aimed to pool their strengths and create a successful first film despite budget constraints.
Creative Filming Techniques
Budget Constraints: With a limited budget, the project allowed for a single-camera setup. Knowing we needed the podcast to be engaging and have a sense of momentum, we decided to shoot in 4k but edit on a 1080 canvas. Taking advantage of the disparity between high-resolution shooting and the common use of 1080p TVs, the team zoomed into the 4k image on a 1080 canvas, creating the illusion of multiple cameras. It allowed us to get a more dynamic final film.
Content Repurposing
Editing Strategy: The editing process was crucial in repurposing the video into shorter sections for various social media platforms. This not only engaged the audience but also generated over 50 unique pieces of content for David's social media channels. The repurposed content could be strategically distributed across LinkedIn, YouTube shorts, Facebook, and Twitter (now X), all pointing back to David's business to reinforce his authority in the financial space.
Conclusion
This case study highlights the power of creativity and strategic planning in overcoming budget limitations. By repurposing content and strategically utilising available resources, businesses can establish themselves as authorities in their respective domains. It also highlights the sheer volume of content that can be created, out of a relatively short time investment. As the team continues to gather feedback and refine their approach, the future of podcasting for David Armour Accounting looks promising.
